After all, he's not here to disturb your sleep with price swing notifications at 3 am or encourage you to gamble more on Saturday's big game.
You'll find Albus throughout your Sanctum App journey, starting with a warm welcome as you create your account. From there, he'll be present as you explore Library content, earn daily rewards, collect XP, and more!
Why Does a Finance App Have a Pet?
Think of most finance apps and you'll probably group them together as slight variations of the same flavor.
Their layouts are sterile and anxiety-inducing, making you think of work, numbers and calculations, and stress.
What those apps won't tell you is that they're designed that way intentionally.
Anxiety generates urgency, and urgency induces people to transact more, meaning more fees earned for the teams running the apps.
That's not what we're about at Sanctum. Unlike the other guys, we actually consider your best interests to be our best interests.
So in building Sanctum App's UI, we wanted it to be clear that the app was made by people who care about more than just your portfolio balance (and the profits that can be extracted from it).
We wanted it to feel different because it is different. And Albus has a big role to play there as the physical embodiment of that intention.
He helps bring the financial stress down, spread delight, and help make our app feel like one you want to open. Maybe not even to check your balance, just to get a small dose of joy during your day.
What Albus Does
Right now, Albus is your friendly companion everywhere in Sanctum App.
He's not meant to be an attention mechanic that keeps you glued to a screen. Him and his quirks are more so a quiet reward for doing the thing we already believe you should be doing (and are most trying to encourage with our app): holding good assets for the long term.
You can look at Albus when you're having a bad day in the markets to feel slightly better about things. And you can give him a tap to make stars come out of… somewhere.
That's pretty much it to start. But our new shared friend won’t stay so simple for too long!
As you hold assets in Sanctum and earn XP, you'll start unlocking cosmetic items for Albus like backgrounds, accessories, and animations.
He’ll grow over time with you, meaning the longer you're with us in Sanctum App, the more your in-app reality will become yours.
And the more Sanctum App becomes yours, the more we think you'll love opening our app and using it consistently, which is the name of the game when it comes to investing for the long term to grow wealth.
Just showing up, staying patient, and letting time do its thing.
