Many finance apps have a "learn" section that explain topics like what the S&P 500 is, how mutual funds work, what a blockchain does, etc.
And they’re carefully written to be inoffensive and opinion-free, because having opinions is a liability when you're trying to sell people every asset under the sun.
Our Library is different - it's actually strongly opinionated.
That difference starts with our belief that most people should hold good, productive assets for the long term, not spend their hours trading actively.
It's a belief shared among all serious and accomplished investors, from Warren Buffett to Howard Marks, and we want to share it with our users to help them form healthy financial habits.
Our in-app library is where that happens.
What You’ll Find
The Library is designed to help you build fundamental investing knowledge.
We'll be starting simple with sections dedicated to the philosophy and features of Sanctum App, app update briefs, and FAQs.
Most apps don't do this because being transparent about their design choices would reveal that those choices were made in the app's interest, not the user's.
But since our interests are your interests, we can be completely open!
A Living Thing
The Library won't be static. New sections will be added as the app grows and as we find more things worth sharing!
We genuinely believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for building good financial habits. Most people who make investing mistakes believe they’re making the right move, but take a wrong turn because of a knowledge gap.
We want to fill that gap with our Library, and because we think that role is so important, we’re taking our time with building it. Hopefully, it'll change some lives for the better.
Over time, we envision the Library growing to include:
- Our synthesis of all-time great investors, distilled into the philosophy of long-term investing from first principles.
- Deep dives on the assets we integrate into Sanctum App. Not just sterile descriptions of what they are, but our deeply personal and honest takes on the risks, the red flags, and what we've learned from working closely with the founding teams.
You can think of the Library as a resource that evolves alongside your journey with Sanctum.
We hope you find it useful!
