What is Sanctum Gateway, why did we build it, and how does it all fit together?
Gateway is like Jupiter Aggregator for transaction delivery. Just like there are many DEXes out there, there are many transaction delivery services (RPC, Jito, Paladin, Nozomi, Astralane, Raiku...).
Jupiter Aggregator finds you the best route to swap your coins; Gateway finds you the best route to land your transactions.
Gateway also gives you powerful observability and one-click config: you can instantly see when one of your delivery routes is failing, and switch on the dashboard without redeploying your app. Sanctum builds positive-sum products that make Solana better.
We started off making all of Solana liquid (staked), and now we're trying to make Solana more reliable. Gateway is a natural extension of our core mandate. There are powerful synergies with our existing Stake offering; as you know, staked SOL is indispensable for landing transactions on Solana.
People should be able to build performant, reliable apps without having to worry about the complexities of the Solana network. More and more people are joining Solana and we want to make it as easy as possible to start building. We'll keep improving Gateway until it becomes an integral part of every Solana application.
